An interpretation of the movie MirrorMask by Dave McKean and Neil Gaiman. Created through a combination of throwing and slip casting techniques: deconstructed and re-assembled to create a similar shape of mask as portrayed in the movie.

Drawn from the experience of a broken heart of always being rejected by a girl. Created using the slab technique, rolled in two opposite directions to resemble a hollow heart shape. Randomly glazed to express something broken.

The desire to get through a stagnant phase in order to protect the feelings of other people, especially those who are dear to us. Empowering fellow humans to be able to accept reality and continue moving forward, even though it may not always go smoothly, encourages us to think positively. This positive basic attitude makes what might feel wrong, be right.
